    Description

Welcome to our jungle surf shack, situated in Santiago in the hills of Santa Teresa. Some of our friends call it the “Tarzan and Jane jungle treehouse,” because well, it’s got a pretty rustic vibe, and makes you feel like you are living outside (in all the best ways). You can even sit in our 2 hammocks in the living room while you watch howler monkeys laze around in the trees, with views of the ocean in the background. If you want fancy, this is not your place. But if you want simple, bohemian, a sense of one with nature and adventure, then you’ve come to the right place. We are a 5 minute walk down the hill to Manzanillo beach - no surf here but a great place to walk or lay in tide pools. We are a 7 minute drive to Hermosa beach, where we surf daily (and our friend owns a great cafe where you can grab coffee, smoothies and good vibes after you shred!). Farther down the road (10 min) is Santa Teresa, that has endless beach breaks, restaurants, and vibes. And if the swell gets too big, you can head over to Cabuya for some point breaks 45 minutes away. House comes equipped with our surf mobile, a 1983 Mitsubishi Montero that we affectionately call “Monty.” You’ll be tagged as a local driving this thing. But - Monty is old, rebellious and stubborn - if you’re not comfortable with old manuals and the occasional pop start, we suggest you rent a car or ATV. About us: we are a couple that loves to surf, travel, and live outside. Kevin’s an architect and loves designing spaces in the jungle we get to live in. Georgia works as an NGO and social impact consultant, with a passion for leveraging grassroots change. We look forward to connecting with you!
